Task Days – 1pm to 4pm : see Programme for meeting points

Tuesdays – We work at a variety of sites in and around Great Yarmouth.  The Tuesday sites vary a great deal from working with The Broads Authority at several different sites including Wroxham Broad island, Burgh Common, Buttle Marsh, Ludham, Stanley Carrs, Aldeby; and with Norfolk Archaeological Trust at Burgh Castle; with Blofield and District Conservation Group (BADCOG) at Blofield Church and Howes Meadow; Bradwell Community wood; GYB Services at the Catholic Cemetery on Caister Road and Bure Park and at the Waterways/Boating Lake on an exciting new restoration project; and Friends of Great Yarmouth Cemeteries at The Minster cemeteries.  Please check our quarterly programme for more details.

Thursdays – Our regular weekly site every Thursday is Beacon Park woodlands in Gorleston where we are working on a huge ongoing project to turn a neglected belt of trees into an asset for the local community to enjoy.  We will be thinning and coppicing trees and cutting back scrub to encourage understorey plants, shrubs and wildflowers and building “minibeast hotels” to improve diversity. We are also improving the pathway we have already created by making clearings with benches around the entire area so that people can sit and enjoy their surroundings.
